How Bravery Media Solutions Got Started
Every business has an origin story—ours began with a conversation and a bit of curiosity.
Before Bravery Media Solutions existed, Avery and I were both working at a behavioral health facility. We were surrounded by compassionate, mission-driven professionals—many of whom were independent contractors supporting clients through coaching, therapy, and intervention work. While they were excellent at their work, we noticed a common thread: many of them didn’t have the time, tools, or strategy to grow their presence online.
One day, I was speaking with Susan M., a parent coach who had been making a meaningful impact with families. She shared a frustration that stuck with me—“I know I need more social media engagement, but I don’t know where to start.”
I offered to help. No pitch. No plan. Just support. That was the beginning of my very first account.
Not long after, Joe S., an interventionist and social worker, echoed a similar concern. He was doing powerful work, but his digital presence wasn’t reflecting it. That’s when the lightbulb started to flicker. People in helping professions needed someone who not only understood marketing—but also understood them.
Avery, ever the encourager and big-picture thinker, saw the potential before I fully did. “You’re really good at this,” he said. “You should turn it into a business.”
That was the spark that ignited Bravery Media Solutions.
Since then, we’ve grown into a boutique media agency focused on helping wellness professionals, coaches, clinicians, and advocates amplify their voices and connect with the people they’re meant to serve.
It’s been a journey—rewarding, challenging, and deeply fulfilling.
And I’ll be honest: owning a business takes a lot of faith. It takes time, energy, and a willingness to figure things out as you go. From content creation and account growth to outreach and client communication, there’s always something to learn, build, or improve.
But I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Bravery Media Solutions was built on purpose and heart, and I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come. More importantly, I’m excited about where we’re headed.
Here’s to growing bravely—together.
